SOUTHWESTERN REGION

The Southwestern Region Emergency Relief Fund, known as the 1922 Club, was established in 2016 by the 20th Syntaktes, LaShonda Johnson, to provide financial assistance to Sorors and Affiliates within the Southwestern Region facing financial distress due to a declared major disaster or emergency. In 2024, the fund has expanded its scope to support members experiencing various hardships, including:​

• Natural disasters (e.g., hurricanes, floods, tornadoes)

• Critical illness or medical emergencies

• Domestic violence

• Houselessness

• Emergency financial aid for college expenses

• Death-related expenses for Sorors, Philos, or Rhoers

 

Any member—Soror, Philo, or Rhoer—within the Southwestern Region can apply for aid through the 1922 Club by submitting the application form below.

We encourage all members and affiliates to contribute to the Southwestern Region's 1922 Club. Contributions support regional disaster relief, national community partners, the Undergraduate Development Fund, and a local charity at the Southwestern Regional Conference. To contribute:
